The Global Account Director, Consumer Vertical is a senior position that develops and maintains business for significant global Consumer accounts. The primary focus of the role is on selling and improving logistics solutions, including road, freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, and other value‑added services. This role is integral in establishing and maintaining long‑term strategic relationships that typically go beyond the sale of a single point solution.
The position requires a high degree of analytical skills and industry knowledge to unlock hidden value that may not be readily identifiable to our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan aimed at maintaining existing business and identifying the top opportunities.
- Managing named global Consumer accounts, in accordance with agreed financial and performance targets based on DSV processes.
- Developing solutions for the named global customers; leveraging DSV vertical structure and competencies into innovative developments.
- Work closely with operations to deliver high level of service to customers.
- Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an account.
- Understand the customer’s buying process.
- Understand the customer’s business (strategically, operationally, & financially).
- Work closely with customers to intimately understand their needs.
- Work across all divisions within DSV to create custom solutions that deliver value to customers.
- Maintain an open dialogue with the account executive sponsor and keep the sponsor engaged in the account.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Minimum 5 years of recent global account sales experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industry.
- Subject matter expert grade knowledge of the industry.
- Proven track record of sales success within the industry.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others).
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Advanced mathematical skills for project development.
- Advanced level of business acumen.
- Strong creative problem solving and analytical skills.
- Self‑motivated team player.
- Must be able to travel frequently.

The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements include close vision and distance vision. Ability to travel by land, air, sea as needed.

Expected base pay range is $ – $ annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
