Retail Sales Associate

$11.00 to $13.00 per hour. Our easily achievable commission structure pays you for every transaction you process. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $3.44 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associate thrives on engaging with customers and assists with inquiries and problem resolution. The position involves handling a wide variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), among others. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity; pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Will assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
