Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Associate partners with the entire staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business, greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

Hourly wage: $11.00 to $13.00 per hour. Associates earn an additional commission of 2–8% on transactions, which could average an extra $2.20 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, walk, climb, push, pull, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from external storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must be willing to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer‑literacy and ability to operate Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
