Radiation Health Physicist Junior

Projects will involve a variety of radiological assessments and remediation, plan development, data evaluation, desktop research and document reviews. Must have experience in managing dosimetry and instrumentation programs.

It is expected that field tasks would be minimal and may include performing surveys and assessments. Additionally, characterizing radiological materials in various matrices, implementing radiation safety practices, maintaining radiation protection programs, and regulatory compliance during project activities.

The position is remote.

The position offers the opportunity to elevate your Health Physics career working with and being mentored by the highly professional, experienced, and credentialed Jacobs radiation services staff on a wide variety of health physics related issues. Opportunities for leadership and ownership on projects are expected and developing technical as well as project management skills will be further developed. Writing clearly, presenting technical approaches, and justifying decisions are essential, as we help clients obtain regulatory and community acceptance and close projects.

• B.A. degree in Radiation Health Physics or related field.
• Experience with shipping radioactive materials.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

• 2 to 5 Years of Professional Health Physics Experience.
• Experience radiological investigations.

The base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $76,450.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
