Assistant Security Operations Supervisor

Position Details

Rate: $26.00/hr (All shifts).
Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
  • State training and licensing assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
  • Help supervise operations of an assigned client site on shift.
  • Report directly to Site Supervisor/Director or Marksman.
  • Manage a team of security officers, including scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support.
  • Ensure high‑quality security services to protect people and property.
  • Handle escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
  • Develop staff in technical and professional skills through performance management.
  • Create a positive work environment by treating staff with respect.
  • Coordinate and conduct site‑specific “on‑the‑job training,” client‑specific training, and annual refresher training.
  • Reconcile logs, shift responsibilities, and patrols; review incident reports before submission and coordinate preliminary investigations.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and post orders for emergency reference.
  • Train and qualify to work assigned post; maintain practical knowledge of additional and emergency post instructions.
  • Maintain access control procedures set by building management and use access control, visitor management, and CCTV systems.
  • Identify tenants and visitors upon arrival and ensure proper sign‑in before building access.
  • Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of tenant or building property.
  • Monitor security cameras within the facility.
  • Respond to incidents, including property emergencies.
  • Conduct general patrols of the entire property, including stairs and exterior, in any weather.
  • Stand/sit/walk for extended periods.
  • Assist tenants and visitors with directions and business information.
  • Record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and equipment malfunctions accurately.
  • Maintain clear logs of people, property, and packages.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all parties encountered while on duty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED and at least 3 years of satisfactory employment as a security officer or related experience; must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid Security License if required by state and a valid driver’s license if applicable.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; bilingual considered a plus.
  • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Maintain a working telephone number for contact.
Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs.; perform foot patrols on interior and exterior; perform duties in inclement weather.
