.This person is responsible for the security functions within an assigned geographical area. They perform a variety of security functions, including physical security and crisis response and management. Within the broader Corporate Security team, the Regional Security Specialist serves as an ambassador for Corporate Security, demonstrating excellent customer service and business-partnering skills to support Corporate Security's role within YNCA.
- Supports the planning and design of all security projects within their geographical area of responsibility.
- Oversee and maintain security systems, including CCTV, access control, and conduct regular security inspections.
- Responds to and investigates security incidents and breaches, implements corrective actions, and works with law enforcement when necessary. Ensures security incidents and breaches are properly documented.
- Participates as needed with special assignments:
Executive Protection, high-profile guests. - Maintains, implements, and ensures compliance with CTPAT requirements.
- Supports the management of any MSAs with local security providers (if present), acting as a liaison to ensure the delivery of service meets the requirements and spirit of the MSA.
- Ensures compliance with Corporate Security’s policies and procedures.
- Acts as a liaison between Corporate Security and external agencies, such as law enforcement and other first responders, and communicates security plans to management within the geographical area of responsibility.
- Executes actions identified by Corporate Security for the success of strategies at assigned locations to meet both short- and long-term security objectives.
- Ensure Corporate security performance objectives are met.
- Within their scope, exercise decision-making at the operational level.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business, or related field, or a minimum of two years of experience gained from working in a military, other government, or private-sector security environment
- Fluency in Spanish
- Microsoft Office proficiency required, Avigilon and RS2 platforms preferred
- Ability to respond to, or facilitate a response to, critical incidents outside normal business hours
