What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to law enforcement personnel, visitors, and other stakeholders by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
