About Vigilant Protection Services
Vigilant Protection Services provides high-standard security, access control, and logistics support across Texas. We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Level II Unarmed Security Officers to manage facility gate operations, track trailer movements, and conduct exterior facility patrols.
Possible Schedules & Shifts (Not 100% set, pending client approval)
- Schedule A (Full-Time – 40 hrs/week):
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Schedule B (Full-Time – 36 hrs/week):
- Monday – Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Schedule C (Part-Time – 25 hrs/week):
- Thursday – Friday: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Gate & Trailer Management: Manage gate access control by logging all inbound and outbound trailers, drivers, and seal numbers accurately using a web-based mobile platform.
- Exterior Perimeter Patrols: Conduct scheduled foot and perimeter patrols around the facility exterior, truck yard, fences, and gates to ensure physical security and detect unauthorized activity.
- Access Verification: Check driver credentials, verify bills of lading (BOLs) / documentation, and ensure only authorized personnel and equipment enter the premises.
- Digital Shift Reporting: Submit real-time daily activity reports (DARs), yard audit updates, truck check-in, and incident reports directly through mobile web applications.
- Safety & Hazard Monitoring: Identify and promptly report facility hazards, damaged equipment, suspicious activity, or security breaches to dispatch and site management.
- Professional Conflict Management: Maintain a professional demeanor and utilize verbal de-escalation techniques when addressing policy non-compliance or unexpected delays at the gate.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Texas DPS Level II Non-Commissioned Security License
. - High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable navigating smartphones/tablets and operating browser-based logging platforms with speed and accuracy.
- High attention to detail regarding data entry (numbers, license plates, seal IDs).
- Ability to work outdoors and conduct regular walking patrols in varying Texas weather conditions.
- Reliable personal transportation and an established record of strict punctuality.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
