This is a temporary position working on a project that will last from 6 - 9 months in the El Paso area, with potential for longer-term employment opportunity. There are multiple positions available. Job Title:Technology Cable Installer Wage/Hour Status:
Hourly
Reports to:
VP of Operations
Install various low voltage and fiber optic cable, twisted pair, CAT6, CAT5, and coax, risers and tie cables, including termination, testing, labeling and documentation.
Qualifications- Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Special Knowledge/
Skills:- Ability to read blue prints
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
- Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
- Ability to interact with other employees, vendors and clients.
- Experience:
- Two (2) years related experience in commercial cabling installations including CAT5e, CAT6/A
- Tablet/laptop and mobile devices
- Basic hand tools, ladders, drills

Physical and MentalJob Requirements
- Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions.
- Prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions.
- Climbing, stooping, bending, pushing and kneeling; occasional heavy lifting; frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment; frequent Districtwide travel.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
