Application Instructions

We're seeking an experienced pipe layer to join our dynamic team! If you're passionate about working on exciting civil and commercial projects and are up for a physically demanding challenge, then we want you. As a Pipe Layer, you'll be responsible for installing underground pipes of varying sizes (6"-108") by positioning, joining, and aligning them at proper depths, angles, and grades.

You'll work closely with other team members to ensure excavation activities associated with installing the pipes are performed safely and efficiently.

• Signaling equipment operators to ensure safe and proper excavation
• Establishing alignment and grade using a laser
• Aligning and joining pipe sections
• Coordinating all other activities in the excavation
• Digging and moving dirt with a hand shovel to prepare trenches for pipes and utility lines
• Operating equipment such as loaders, excavators, and backhoes as needed (if trained)
• Following all safety rules and encouraging others to do the same
• Performing other duties as assigned

• A minimum of 2 years' experience laying pipe in Highway Construction
• Physical strength and endurance: ability to carry 70 lbs. or more and perform physically demanding tasks
• Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a variety of locations and adapt to changing sites
• Good coordination, balance, depth perception, and eye-hand coordination
• Flexible availability to include overtime, nights, weekends
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Willingness to perform general labor tasks (sweep, clean, run errands, use hammer and saw, dig trenches)
