Travel Heavy Equipment Mechanics - National Projects - $100 Per Diem + Hotel + Paid Travel - Up to $45/hr - Houston, TX

Aerotek is seeking experienced Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanics for national projects based out of Houston, Texas. These roles involve 100% travel to large-scale ground mount solar sites across the US, performing field repairs and troubleshooting on heavy equipment. Ideal candidates are skilled in hydraulics, electrical systems, and PLC diagnostics, and are comfortable working independently in a dynamic, travel-based environment.

• Competitive pay: $40-45/hr depending on experience

• 5 years as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical systems
• Experience with controls (encoders, CANBUS, linear transducers, PLC, etc.)
• Heavy equipment diagnostics (CAT, Cummins)
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Valid driver’s license (proof required upon hire)
• Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
