Underground Piper Layer

Underground Pipeline Layer – El Paso, Texas (Job Number: 553033)

We are seeking experienced Underground Pipelayers for a project in El Paso, Texas. The hourly pay is negotiable. The project duration is 3 years, and weekly hours are 45 hours or more per week.

• Install sanitary sewer, stormwater sewer, and consumable water structures and pipe systems.
• Layout pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints and coordinating layouts with the supervisor.
• Cut pipes to required lengths.
• Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
• Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
• Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement or glue.
• Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.
• Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
• Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.
• Intimate and working knowledge of industry-standard hand signals.
• Train others in pipe-laying techniques.
• Other general labor and construction-related duties as required.

• All work is performed outdoors in heat, cold, and inclement weather.
• Exposure to all elements of nature.
• Exposure to all types of terrain.
• Exposure to loud noise.
• Exposure to fumes, odors, gases, dusts, etc.
• Work in close proximity to heavy traffic.
• Periodic lifting of 10 to 50 pounds.
