The Medium/Heavy-Duty Truck Technician/strong will be responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel and gasoline engine industrial trucks according to dealership and factory specifications./p pstrong

Responsibilities:/strong/p ul li Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards./li li Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repair./li li Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts./li li Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer./li li Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended./li
li Communicates with service advisor/dispatcher immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time./li li Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order./li liRoad tests vehicles when required./li li Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events./li li Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins./li li Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned./li
li Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor./li li Ensures that the vehicle is kept clean. Notifies service advisor/dispatcher immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle./li li Keeps shop area neat and clean./li li Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received./li
li Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc./li li Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner./li li Other duties may be assigned./li /ul pstrong
Education amp;
Experience:
/strong/p ul li College or Technical school training./li liTwo to four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience./li /ul pstrong
Driver License and one or more of the following are

Certifications:
/strong/p ul li Freightliner Truck Certification (Required)./li li Detroit Diesel Engine Certification (Required)./li li Caterpillar Engine Certification (Required)./li li Certified Texas State Inspector - Commercial Vehicle Endorsement (Required)./li /ul pstrong
