This position will diagnose and repair various material handling equipment at customer sites. Essential functions include operating and inspecting Toyota Lift equipment and components, evaluating disabled equipment, discussing equipment problems with customers and supervisors, repairing and calibrating engine components, testing repaired equipment, performing pre-delivery inspections, inspecting and servicing equipment, reading equipment manuals, attending training sessions, maintaining knowledge of equipment, assisting with ordering parts, recording work performed, maintaining orderliness, and operating hand and power tools.
Qualifications include experience with Toyota Material Handling equipment, previous field experience in construction equipment diagnostics and servicing, a high school diploma, excellent customer service and communication skills, owning your own tools, and computer skills.
Physical requirements include the ability to occasionally lift 75 pounds, reach and use arms with full motion, endure prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and squatting, exert push and pull forces with arms, use hands to grasp tools, climb onto and operate equipment, and perform work in cramped spaces and high places. Environmental conditions include working around moving mechanical parts, exposure to weather extremes, loud noise levels, and small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment.
