Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division located at 7800 Trade Center Avenue in El Paso is currently seeking a Facilities Technician - Weekend Shift. The hours are Friday through Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. The rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you’ll do:
The Facilities Technician will support the OPEX and EHS departments by helping to drive continuous improvement in the electrical assembly operations. This is achieved by maintaining the facility and production equipment in its best working condition, completing preventive maintenance tasks and minimizing downtime. The position will support operations and capital assets such as equipment, machinery, and building.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment, including but not limited to lifts, lift tables, cranes, workstations, fans, motors, gates, doors, pumps, and pressure vessels.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams such as electrical and hydraulic schematics and PLCs.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment using a systematic process to identify root cause (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC).
- Perform mechanical and general facilities repairs, painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and roofing.
- Support daily plant operations through effective troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems while adhering to all policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Maximize equipment reliability by effectively completing assigned work orders and preventive maintenance tasks. Proactively initiate work orders based on observations.
- Complete continuous improvement activities related to the facility such as 5S, TPM, and Set Up Reduction.
- Assist with outside contractors on various plant projects and repairs.
- Complete and maintain maintenance logs and associated documentation.
- Experience in metal fabrication processes and equipment.
- Experience with hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics in troubleshooting scenarios.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the electrical field with voltages from 24V to 480V.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, working with systems, reservoirs, pumps, valves, sensors, cylinders, piping, tubing, hoses, switches, and motors.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software.
- No relocation is provided; candidates must reside within 50 miles of El Paso, TX.

- Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance.
- Program and maintain software in Ladder (PLC) Assembly, HMI systems, and basic languages.
- Strong electrical background and experience.
- Two‑year technical degree or certification in electronics, electrical power and controls, fluid power, HVAC, or basic PLC programming.
- Journeyman or three (3) years of documented maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade.
- Licensed HVAC Technician, Plumber, or Electrician.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly operation.
- Familiarity with wastewater treatment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PLC electronic controls.
- Basic skills in reading, arithmetic, and writing in English and Spanish.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Candidate must be able to travel outside of the continental United States, including Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Canada.
- Ability to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision, including working at varied heights using fall protection, permits, and other safety processes.
