Residential Electrical Leadman

Job Summary

IES Residential is seeking an experienced Residential Electrical Leadman to join our growing team in El Paso, TX. This working foreman position involves leading a crew of electricians and apprentices while actively performing electrical installations in new single-family residential construction.

• Lead and participate in daily electrical tasks including layout, rough‑in, and trim‑out phases.
• Supervise and support electricians and apprentices on job sites.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and blueprints.
• Enforce IES Residential safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, builders, and team members.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping, work orders, and material usage documentation.
• Ensure installations meet IES quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.

• Minimum 4 years of residential electrical experience.
• At least 1 year in a leadership or crew‑lead role.
• Current Texas Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license (Required).
• Strong knowledge of NEC, blueprint reading, material takeoffs, and residential wiring practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English (Required).
• Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Active residential construction job sites with exposure to outdoor weather conditions such as heat, wind, and dust. Work includes attics, crawl spaces, and framed structures, with the use of ladders, scaffolding, and power tools in a fast‑paced production environment.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
• Climb ladders and work at heights.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Comfortable working outdoors in Texas weather conditions.

Yes – current Texas Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license.
