Maintenance Technician (3rd shift)
Good troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis skills are required to make proper repairs. Preventive and predictive skills are required to keep equipment running safe and efficient. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. A desire for continuous improvement of technical skills and quality workmanship is required to meet our customers increasing demands.
The maintenance employee job requires maintaining rolling stock, sprinkler systems, shavings bin, general maintenance throughout mill, diagnose and repair sawmill and other equipment. There may be occasional weekend and night duty. At times exposed to the elements. Requires cleaning up oil spills from equipment in shop, parts removal after installing new parts and keep shop clean.
Works safely and follows all related policies and programs to assure a safe working environment. Reading blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work requirements Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, and conveyors according to layout plans using hand and power tools Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery Other job tasks and projects as assigned
AC/DC wiring methods AC/DC drives/motors PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff) Touchscreens Mechanical systems (bearing, alignment, chains, belts) Pneumatics and hydraulics Design and fabricating Preventive & predictive maintenance on production machinery Mill and Lathe experience is a plus
