The missionKeep critical kitchen equipment and building systems operating at peak performance. From preventative care to rapid-response repairs, you’ll ensure reliability, food safety, and guest satisfaction in high-volume environments.
How you’ll contributeIn a typical week, you’ll rotate between preventive maintenance, urgent troubleshooting, and installations. You’ll consult with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team, coordinate with manufacturers for diagnostics and part specs, and close accurate work orders in real time. You’ll work across hot-side and cold-side equipment—then verify performance against standards before you leave the site.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and remove commercial kitchen equipment and related building/HVAC systems.
- Service sealed-system refrigeration, hot-side cooking equipment, specialty food service equipment, and base building HVAC.
- Meet SLAs for Operator requests; uphold company productivity metrics.
- Install ordered parts with accuracy and professionalism; confirm operational compliance.
- Document work orders, labor, receipts, and truck stock inventory quickly and accurately.
- Maintain an organized service vehicle, tools, and spare parts.
- Engage suppliers and vendors; participate in continuous OEM training and certification.
- Support after-hours emergency response and follow all safe work and accident prevention procedures.
Hands-on with Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, and Garland Grill.
Qualifications checklist- Technical trade school training and/or relevant hands on experience; 5+ years related trade experience.
- Strength in one or more: sealed refrigeration/HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, process controls, hot-side cooking equipment, or mechanical power transmission.
- Experience servicing kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance; safe driving record (MVR required); able to safely operate company vehicles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting; able to read diagrams and schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; self-directed with a positive, service-oriented approach.
- 100% field-based within a defined local market.
- Limited overnights, primarily for onboarding and training.
- Physical demands include: lifting up to 50 lbs; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; extended standing/walking on varied surfaces; frequent use of arms/wrists/hands.

Roof access ladders are provided, van loading/unloading of a large ladder is non typical). - Indoor/outdoor work in all weather; extended hours as emergencies require.
