Optimus Steel LLC seeks an Industrial Electrician to support reliable, safe steel production at our Texas mill. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and repair motors, drives, lighting, and control systems, using electrical schematics and test equipment to keep production running. You'll perform preventive and predictive maintenance, assist with PLC- and instrumentation-related tasks, and respond to breakdowns with a focus on root cause and continuous improvement.

- Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, motors, drives, and control panels in a steel manufacturing environment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant electrical equipment to maximize uptime and reliability
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues and complete installations
- Work safely under NFPA 70E and company standards, ensuring lockout/tagout and other procedures are followed
- Support production by responding quickly to electrical breakdowns and performing root-cause analysis
- Configure, calibrate, and maintain PLCs, sensors, and instrumentation as directed
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams on continuous improvement projects
- Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and updates to electrical drawings and records
