Operations Technician
We are seeking dependable and motivated Operations Technicians to support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of wastewater treatment and plumbing-related systems. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and providing exceptional customer service. Training is available for entry-level candidates, while experienced plumbing professionals will have opportunities to perform more advanced technical work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain wastewater treatment and remediation equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing and treatment systems.
- Assist with system startups, testing, and operational checks.
- Diagnose equipment issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals as needed.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and other job-related equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and work documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members regarding service work and project updates.
- Participate in on-call or emergency service work as required.
Qualifications
Entry-Level Technicians ($15–18/hour)
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
Experienced Technicians ($18–22/hour)
- Previous plumbing or related mechanical experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot plumbing systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with piping systems, pumps, valves, and mechanical components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Journeyman Technicians ($22–28/hour)
- Current Plumbing Journeyman License required.
- Advanced knowledge of plumbing systems, installation techniques, and applicable codes.
- Ability to lead projects, mentor junior technicians, and perform complex troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical labor throughout the workday.
