Fire Alarm Technician – Fire Alarm Systems | El Paso, TX

Responsibilities

• Install, pull, route, dress, label, and terminate fire alarm and VESDA piping/wiring within hyperscale data center manufacturing environments
• Install fire alarm devices and components within hot aisle containment systems, skids, and related assemblies
• Perform fire alarm pipe, tubing, vessel, and wiring installation according to project plans and specifications
• Read and interpret fire alarm system layouts from blueprints
• Troubleshoot and service existing fire alarm systems
• Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
• Install and support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites (schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, etc.)
• Be willing to travel to other FTI project locations as needed for future assignments

Requirements

• 5+ years demonstrated work history/knowledge in Fire Alarm Systems
• Current Texas fire alarm licensing/credentialing required for this position
• Experience with VESDA piping and/or fire alarm systems is strongly preferred
• Understanding of NEC and NFPA requirements (current codes)
• Experience troubleshooting panels, devices, and programming systems (Edwards, Silent Knight, Fire Lite, etc. a plus)
• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
• Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
• Must have basic hand tools and required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, and steel-toe boots.
• Reliable transportation and ability to report to the El Paso, TX facility.
• Candidates willing to travel long-term to support future FTI projects throughout the country are strongly preferred.
