Maintenance Technician

Tropicana Building II, LLC, part of Tropicana Homes, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our quality residential communities in El Paso. In this on-site role, you will perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general repairs. You will respond to tenant service requests, complete work orders, and help ensure safe, well-maintained homes.

Working in a family-oriented, community-focused environment, you'll collaborate with team members, support unit turnarounds, and uphold our standards of craftsmanship and customer care while growing your technical and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on residential building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Respond to tenant service requests and troubleshoot maintenance issues in a timely, customer-focused manner
• Conduct inspections of units and common areas to identify repair needs and safety hazards
• Complete work orders, maintain maintenance logs, and document parts and labor used
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and follow up on quality of work
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company maintenance standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of supplies in an organized and secure manner
• Assist with unit turnarounds, minor renovations, and property improvements as needed
