The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at the Ports of Entry. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety and environmental standards.

• Perform inspections of all mechanical equipment
• Verify the energy managements system is operating correctly
• Monitor space temperatures frequently and make necessary adjustments
• Perform PM work orders in the NCMMS system, closeout completed work orders
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
• Monitor and adjust system controls to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
• Respond promptly to service requests and emergency calls during regular hours and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with other facilities staff and contractors to support operational needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred
• 2-3 years' experience in basic electrical, mechanical, and computer technology experience.
• Certified HVAC Technician (EPA regulations)

Must be able to pass a government background investigation.
