This position is contingent upon contract award

SOSi is actively seeking Field Analysts to support the DHS Safety Verification Initiative (SVI). Field Analysts conduct in-person site visits involving Unaccompanied Children (UAC) and Former Unaccompanied Children ((F)
UAC) to verify residency, assess overall wellness, document findings, and elevate safety concerns in accordance with program requirements. This position requires frequent travel, objective documentation, strong situational awareness, and the ability to operate independently in field environments.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-person site visits at assigned residential locations involving UAC and (F)
    UAC cases.
  • Verify whether the UAC or (F)
    UAC physically resides at the identified address.
  • Conduct multiple site visit attempts, including visits to alternate or updated addresses, as necessary to confirm residency and wellness status.
  • Observe and document general safety, wellness, and environmental conditions during field visits.
  • Identify and document individuals residing with the UAC or (F)
    UAC and their relationship to the individual.
  • Assess and document indicators of abuse, abandonment, neglect, trafficking, or other safety concerns.
  • Immediately elevate safety concerns and critical incidents in accordance with DHS and program reporting requirements.
  • Confirm school enrollment and attendance for school-aged UAC in accordance with state requirements.
  • Inform UAC, (F)
    UAC, sponsors, or household members of applicable immigration-related obligations and reporting requirements as directed by program guidance.
  • Verify and document contact information, mailing address information, and living arrangements.
  • Complete timely and accurate case documentation, reports, contact notes, and data entry into government-approved systems.
  • Update systems of record within required reporting timelines.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, Regional Juvenile Coordinators (RJC), government personnel, interpreters, and operational stakeholders as required.
  • Maintain professional, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive interactions during all field activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure protection of personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive information.
  • Follow all field safety, deployment, and situational awareness protocols while operating in residential and community environments.
  • Participate in required trainings, operational briefings, quality assurance activities, and staff meetings.
  • Travel extensively within assigned geographic regions, including overnight travel when required.
  • Maintain accurate calendars, travel records, mileage documentation, and communication logs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, sociology, psychology, human services, or related behavioral science field OR two (2) year of experience in field operations, case management, social services, community outreach, investigations, child welfare, or related human services environments preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in fast-paced operational settings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare accurate, objective, and timely documentation and reports.
  • Ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse populations and individuals in stressful or sensitive situations.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including evenings, weekends, and overnight assignments as operationally required.
  • Ability to complete all mandatory DHS and contractor-required training requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, databases, and case management/documentation systems.
