Veterans Park | Pay: $13‑$15 per hour (40 hours weekly) | Pay Grade 3 |

Reports to:

Sports Operations Director

• Develop, organize, and implement high‑quality youth and adult sports programs.
• Supervise PT staff, assists, concession, field and PT coordinators.
• Ensure Veteran Park runs smoothly throughout spring and summer by coordinating weekly coverage with a peer FT seasonal coordinator.
• Provide excellent customer service in a fast‑paced environment.
• Direct and supervise program activities to meet YMCA objectives and expand community participation in youth sports.
• Transport and set up equipment, maintain and groom fields daily for practices, games, and weekend tournaments.
• Develop and distribute team practice and game schedules; schedule sports officials; create and disseminate sports rules, guidelines, and handbooks; coordinate team uniforms, awards, and photographs.
• Serve as on‑site supervisor during weekend tournaments when necessary.
• Assist the Sports Director in organizing leagues, scheduling referees and games, acquiring volunteer coaches and umpires, and supporting all related activities.
• Help plan and facilitate summer youth sport camps.
• Umpire games when necessary.
• Report daily to the Sports Director for assignments.

• Preferred:
  Sports experience.
• Flexible schedule, minimum age 18.
• Must pass reference and criminal background checks.
• Within 30 days of hire:
  Adult and Pediatric CPR, First Aid & AED, Bloodborne Pathogens training; complete Child Abuse Prevention video courses before first day.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

• Ensure a safe, risk‑free environment for all participants at all times.
