Job Title:

Forklift Drivers (east side)

Job Responsibilities:

Material Handling:

Operate forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, or supplies between storage areas, loading docks, or production lines.

Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, or storage racks.

Stack or arrange materials in the correct storage locations, ensuring proper safety measures are followed.

Inventory Management:

Assist in tracking inventory and report shortages or discrepancies.

Perform regular stock checks and maintain accurate records of materials moved in/out.

Safety Compliance:

Follow safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Wear required safety gear (e.g., helmet, gloves) and perform safety checks on forklifts before use.

Maintain proper forklift maintenance by reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

Loading and Unloading Trucks:

Use forklifts to load and unload trucks, ensuring efficient use of space and minimizing damage to products.

Confirm that all shipments are accurate and match inventory records.

Forklift Operation:

Operate forklifts in a safe, efficient manner, ensuring the proper lifting, lowering, and moving of goods.

Move materials to specific areas in a warehouse or construction site based on organizational needs.

Communication and Coordination:

Communicate effectively with warehouse managers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate operations.

Follow orders from supervisors or production teams and prioritize tasks as needed.

Maintenance and Cleaning:

Conduct routine inspections of forklifts, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Clean equipment after use and keep work areas clean and organized.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

Previous experience operating a forklift or heavy machinery is often preferred.

Skills:

Good knowledge of warehouse or storage practices.

Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

Forklift Certification (e.g., OSHA, or local equivalent).

Valid driver's license may be required in some settings.

Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift, bend, and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
