Warehouse Person; Loader​/Order Selector - Evenings​/Seasonal at PepsiCo Beverages North Ameri

Responsibilities

• This labor-intensive position is responsible for hand‑building pallets of product for bulk and for routing trucks, with strict attention to order accuracy when loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks.
• Works from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or an electronic pallet jack.
• Ensures accuracy in loading and complies with shipper/receiver documentation.
• Follows warehouse instructions for building loads and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• May be required to work across a wide variety of weather conditions and hours; shift duration depends on workload and may vary daily.
• Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets onto a trailer and removing any returned pallets or plastic flats.
• Implements bulk truck loading by selecting designated packages and flavors of products, loading them onto a pallet, and maintaining stability through proper stacking and shrink‑wrapping.
• Manages route truck loading by selecting designated packages or pallets, loading them into the truck, and customizing the load based on the salesperson’s order.
• Handles unloading of raw materials, returned products, pallets, and plastic flats, and places them in designated warehouse space.
• Supports daily operations by driving a power pallet jack or forklift to the picking area and building pallets or loads according to load sheets, voice pick audio equipment, or other instructions.
• Marks load tickets for out‑of‑stock items, wraps pallets when complete, and stages pallets or loads into the truck when ready.
• Completes partial pallets, puts away mixed pallets, and maintains proper housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

• 18 years of age or older.

• Experience working in a warehouse environment, including order selection/picking, product storage, product staging, and using powered pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Driving a forklift, performing basic operations such as driving forwards and backwards, lifting and lowering the boom, and maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product.
• Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically).
• Experience working in a team environment, cooperating with co‑workers, and engaging in joint problem solving.
