Tractor Trailer Driver​/RTD - Apprentice

Job Overview

Drive tractor‑trailer vehicles to designated locations and operate mechanized loading/unloading equipment. Perform other duties as assigned as required by operational needs. Hours and overtime may change.

High School Diploma or GED.

Six months Fed Ex Express experience preferred.

• Manual transmission driving (preferred).
• Operation of mechanized loading equipment / GSE.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering heavier packages with equipment or assistance.
• Customer‑contact and package‑handling experience (preferred).
• Good verbal communication skills and neat appearance.
• At least 21 years of age.
• English reading and speaking sufficient for traffic signs and FMCSA guidance.

• FMCSA covered safety‑sensitive position.
• Medical exam required.
• Subject to alcohol & drug testing (including marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids).
• Must work in constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME) within 90 days.
• Maintain a good driving record.

Pay: $23.09 – $33.84 per hour.
