What You’ll Do
  • Travel regionally and nationally to support Penske operations
  • Represent Penske as a trusted, elite professional driver
  • Help launch new business and support key strategic customers
  • Perform multi‑stop deliveries in a variety of environments
  • Job assignments can range from high‑touch to no‑touch; training is provided for specialized equipment
  • Use scanners and onboard technology to ensure accurate deliveries
  • Drive safely in well‑maintained vehicles with best‑in‑class specs, including in‑cab cameras for safety and protection

You’re not assigned to just one route—you’re part of a national response team. You’ll be deployed to Penske locations across the country to:

  • Support operations during special projects
  • Help stabilize and improve performance
  • Assist with new account startups
  • For every three travel weeks worked, drivers are provided an option off or a home week or another travel week

Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL required; applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Current or ability to obtain a non‑exempt interstate DOT medical card required
  • One year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last three years required, or two years in the last five years
  • Three years of DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • English language proficiency required (federal law)
  • Work the required schedule and location; complete Penske application, background investigation, and drug screening
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner; accept responsibility for safety of self and others
Physical Requirements
  • Must see and hear; required vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Must move frequently, stand, walk, sit, and use hands to touch, handle, and reach; lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) routinely, and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally
  • Must legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
