CDL Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and secure damage‑free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials with forklifts or manually, handle up to 100 lbs., work in varied weather and noisy environments, and read job‑related documents in English.
• Manage long driving hours within a 200‑mile radius, no overnight stays, and adapt to fast‑paced schedules.
• Maintain safety compliance, coordinate deliveries on site, and support occasional yard operations.

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Age 18+ (21 for interstate or hazmat). Must pass background checks, drug tests, E‑Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Physically capable of long hours driving and lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Operate forklifts safely, work in varied conditions, and communicate effectively in English.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Multilingual abilities as a plus.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate – required.
• Forklift Certification – preferred.
• FMCSA Registration – required.
• Demonstrated safety compliance through inspections and adherence to DOT/OSHA regulations.

Long hours driving, fast‑paced schedules, varying weather conditions, travel within a 200‑mile radius with no overnight stays. Requires safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support. Success relies on adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
