Position: Field Logistics Coordinator- El Paso (32803)

Position Summary

The Field Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the job site logistics process within commercial and industrial settings, including the management of deliveries to and from job sites and data entry of the tool inventory system. The role may oversee a team of up to 10 field logistics professionals and manage site logistics operations. This is a safety‑sensitive position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective operations and customer service.
  • Coach and train onsite logistics teams, instilling best practices regarding onsite logistics and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Establish priorities for a small crew across multiple areas of operations.
  • Act as a leader within the company’s supply chain to ensure all established practices are followed.
  • Provide material handling support to assigned areas of the job site.
  • Assist projects with the execution of a project‑specific site logistics plan.
  • Coordinate with off‑site construction, warehousing, and outside suppliers to ensure all material and tooling requirements for a given project are met.
  • Support remobilization of crews, allowing construction operation crews to continue providing value‑added install.
  • Develop systems and procedures to achieve the highest level of productivity and safest execution of tasks.
  • Understand, plan, and execute on‑site requirements through meeting attendance, available drawings, and collaboration with other trades and onsite leadership.
  • Coordinate with project leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, including off‑site construction usage, value‑added services, and onsite logistics.
  • Manage logistics key performance indicators and report these to appropriate leaders.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of logistics processes and Lean techniques.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects, and smooth operation of the department.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of warehouse, supply chain, or logistics experience.
  • Experience in construction or a related field.
Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel from 0%–100% of the time to various locations across the U.S. in support of job‑site logistics operations.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tools and general construction materials.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background check.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivation, decision‑making, problem solving, and strategic planning.
  • Effective communication skills—writing, speaking, and active listening.
  • Great interpersonal skills: building trust with others and implementing process‑improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructional manuals, work‑site directions, and written instructions.
  • Ability to analyze tool and material requests for preparation of delivery schedules.
  • Understanding of warehouse software and technology.
  • Excellent customer‑service orientation.
  • Exceptional time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory‑control practices and logistics.
  • Strong judgment in delegating tasks efficiently based on team strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to work in different weather conditions.
  • Skill in developing relationships with leaders, direct reports, and others that facilitate open dialogue and trust.
Work Environment

The work environment may be inside or outside, with possible exposure to hot and cold temperatures, rain, heat, cold, snow, and extreme heights. Employees may work on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, in ditches and excavations, and in and around single and multi‑story buildings, including confined spaces and slippery or uneven surfaces. Confined, mobile, and hazardous work areas such as switch‑gear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, or attics may be encountered.

Appropriate personal protective equipment—hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest—must be worn at all times.
