Material Handler

MATERIAL HANDLER I

Entry Level Material Handler responsible for picking customer orders, operating powered industrial trucks, receiving inbound shipments, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

• Operate powered industrial trucks (forklift, order picker) to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing station or shipping area.
• Perform warehouse duties: pull/assemble customer orders, check outbound orders for accuracy, inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor product, maintain displays, move, store, replenish materials, and conduct daily cycle counts.
• Perform receiving duties: receive and unload inbound material, process inbound shipments, stock material, process customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility, including sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance.
• Obey safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and report all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to management.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Sit‑Down Forklift Operator.
• One year of previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing.
• Good oral, written, and listening communication skills; good record keeping; basic English; accurate measurement capability.
• Awareness of safety rules and ability to work in a safe, conscientious manner.
• Must be Dal‑Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
