Job Description Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates for adjunct teaching positions in the sciences, including Biology, Anatomy, and Chemistry. These positions are for day, and evening in-person classes offered during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. This is a part-time, temporary adjunct faculty role reporting to the Department Head.
This is a continuous vacancy announcement, filled on an “as-needed” basis. All applications are kept on file, and applicants will be notified when courses become available. Work may be performed online or in an office/classroom environment, involving significant public interaction, whether in person, by telephone, via email, or through various communication platforms.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teaching assigned classes
Supporting curriculum integrity in collaboration with the Department Head Following the official Redlands Community College course calendar, including holiday breaks and designated start/end times
Assess and encourage student achievement per student learning objectives
Interact in an effective and encouraging manner with students, both individually and in groups
Promote the mission of the Department, as well as the College as a whole
Qualifications include:
Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills in clear, grammatically correct English
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), email, and internet use
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience is preferred
Experience in various teaching delivery formats is preferred
