Instructional/Technical Assistant Aviation Programs
Assist the instructors in the supervision of students in the classroom and lab setting in High School Aviation and Adult Aviation programs. Assist the instructors with required paperwork. Assistant must be able to serve as a substitute in the instructor's absence.
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of one (1) year of administrative assistant or related office experience required. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of or experience in the aviation industry, including but not limited to aircraft maintenance, technician support, sheet metal, parts procurement, or other related technical fields. Proficiency in the use of technology and standard office software is preferred.

- Display professional attitude toward fellow workers, supervisors, students, and patrons at all times.
- Complete clerical assignments as directed.
- Assist with student supervision. (Report a problem to the instructor or an administrator.)
- Maintain a safe working environment in shop areas.
- Assist in the pickup, delivery, and recordkeeping of supplies and equipment.
- Contact instructors daily for work assignments.
- Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Plan and prioritize duties so they can be completed efficiently and timely.
- Contact supervisor directly when absent from the workplace.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
