Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job Summary:
Lead and manage the Quality Assurance Department to ensure the production of high quality product at the lowest cost, while meeting the demands of our customers. Responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in inspection and quality control procedures with regard to purchased material, in-process material and finished products to assure that quality control standards are achieved.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Over all responsibility for leading and developing strategies that continuously improve our quality processes
- Supports development as a liaison with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and customers, while remaining focused on product quality issues
- Establishes clear goals/objectives to enhance quality assurance, product safety, and consumer satisfaction
- Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality
- Manage QA procedures, policies, protocols, and quality standards to support production activities
- Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products
- Provide technical and statistical expertise to team
- Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within Company
- Addressing non-conformities from previous internal and external audits.
- Conducting a Management Review of the Quality System
- Following-up on and closing pending Preventive and Corrective Action Requests
- Assisting the management team and provide QA support as necessary.
- Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices
- Develop and Implement Quality Plans at each plant
- Troubleshoot problems identified by the plant, through consumer feedback or internal customers
- Be a role model for the company culture
- Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment essential.
- PC-based computing experience (word processing-Word, spreadsheet-Excel, presentation
- PowerPoint, documentation s/w) essential. - Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Quality orientation and high attention to detail
