Peer Tutor for Title IV Student Support Services - Part-time position

Redlands Community College is seeking qualified applicants to apply for the position of Peer Tutor for the Title IV Student Support Services (SSS) Grant. This is a part-time student position working up to20 hours per week for a federally-funded grant program.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide tutoring for TRIO SSS students and lead group study sessions.
  • Participate in TRIO SSS workshops and cultural events.
  • Work as an advocate for those they tutor when appropriate.

Qualifications include:

Ability to quickly establish rapport with students, staff, faculty, and TRIO SSS program staff.

  • Have a college transcript that reflects previous academic success with a grade of “B” or better in any course for which tutoring will be provided.
  • Be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours at Redlands Community College.
  • Preference will be given toTRIO SSS students.
