Position Summary
The DOT Driver is responsible for safely transporting products between company sites while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
KeyJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles to transfer products between campuses.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks and forklifts, securing loads and organizing items in the vehicle.
- Conduct required pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, checking oil, water, fuel, tires and overall vehicle safety.
- Adhere to DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness—interior and exterior.
- Valid Class B CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement.
- Physical ability to pass a DOT physical examination and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
- Minimum of 3 years experience operating straight trucks or similar heavy vehicles (preferred).
Perform essential job functions in transportation and manufacturing environments. Must sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday. Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 75 pounds is required. Must safely enter and exit commercial vehicles multiple times per shift and operate pallet jacks and forklifts. Work performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moving machinery, forklift traffic, loud noise, dust, vibration, and varying temperatures.
Employees must follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
