Monday - Friday Work Schedule Paid Parental LeaveFOR OVER 61 YEARS GEMINI HAS BEEN IN THE BUSINESS OF EXCELLENCESUMMARYThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure products are received, stored, and shipped safely, accurately, and on time. This position provides leadership to warehouse employees while driving operational excellence through safety, quality, inventory accuracy, productivity, and exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who develops people, improves processes, and uses data to make informed operational decisions. Success in this role is measured by safety performance, OTIF delivery, shipping accuracy, inventory accuracy, labor efficiency, and employee engagement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure all processes are completed efficiently, which includes scheduling orders to be picked, shipped, and invoiced accurately and on time.
Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
Lead, coach mentor, and develop warehouse employees while also managing attendance and employee accountability.
Conduct performance evaluations and providing ongoing coaching.
Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all OSHA, DOT, company, and regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and addressing workplace hazards.
Provide timely and accurate information for customer order status.
Direct employees to efficiently process customer orders according to established department policies and procedures.
Communicate proactively with Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Logistics to ensure customer expectations are met.
Provide timely feedback regarding service failures or customer concerns.
Work closely with the Inventory Coordinator to ensure accurate perpetual inventory, investigate inventory discrepancies, and maintain inventory accuracy goals.
Forecast warehouse space needs and optimize existing footprint.
Establish and implement internal controls to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and maximized performance.
Utilize warehouse management systems to properly process order scheduling, order picking/shipping, bills of lading, and inventory management.
Follow all company processes for end of day/end of month closing procedures.
Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate changes with production schedule and freight carriers.
Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Strong understanding of warehouse operations and management principles to handle day-to-day activities efficiently.
Exceptional organizational skills to plan and coordinate both inbound and outbound inventory.
Proven experience with warehouse management software and databases to maintain and monitor inventory accurately.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions in the warehouse environment.
Proven leadership abilities to build and grow an effective team that consistently meets and exceeds goals.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills to assess warehouse operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Proficiency in health and safety regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
Ability to follow directions and work well with a team.
Operate forklift as needed.
Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Self-starter who works effectively without close supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED, required
Minimum of two (2) years warehouse/shipping management experience PHYSICAL AND MENTAL Stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
