Job Description:
- Manage month-end close process, including preparation, processing, and review of general ledger entries
- Review complex monthly royalty calculations and quarterly statements for various royalty recipients
- Manage all royalty-related audits, including preparing schedules and support
- Conduct and prepare complex financial/business analysis
- Manage, train and mentor accounting staff in performing day-to-day accounting functions, including planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and motivating employees
- Manage sales tax process
- Process bi-weekly payroll and prepare payroll related entries and reconciliations
- Conduct and prepare complex financial/business analysis
- Identify and implement improvements to existing processes
- Assist with the year-end financial statement audit
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Able to analyze contracts and determine the proper accounting treatment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
- Prior Big 4 or large regional firm public accounting experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience with 2+ years previous supervisory experience
- Previous experience in a rapidly growing and changing business environment
- Experience with Oracle preferred
