About This RoleVarda Space Industries seeks a highly motivated Hospitality Specialist to join our operations team. We value creative candidates who will enhance efficiency and operational tasks. This role offers growth and ownership opportunities within Varda’s hospitality domain and will shape our daily operations and employee experience.
The ideal candidate will excel in customer service, organizational management, and communication. Self-motivation, ingenuity, and the ability to work in a novel environment are essential.
Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at Varda
- Collaborate with Operations leadership to plan and execute food services
- Monitor quality and consistency of food products at service points
- Clean service equipment and dining areas
- Facilitate communication between janitorial staff and leadership
- Enforce proper food safety practices with staff
- Support ongoing staff development
- 3+ years of relevant hospitality experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Forklift operation experience is a plus
- Salary: $23-$27/hour
- This role is on-site in El Segundo, CA
- Compensation depends on skills, education, experience, and performance
