Private Capital Business Development

The Business Development team is on the front-lines of deal activity, originating actionable opportunities for CriticalPoint to apply its operational playbook and build success stories. We proactively interact with investment bankers, corporate development officers, and other sources of deal flow to add mutual value and identify the right transactions. We are actively seeking team members to actively generate deal flow as we continue to grow the organization.

• Source and evaluate actionable investment opportunities
• Actively market CriticalPoint’s thesis, breadth of experience, and deal history
• Develop and nurture relationships with investment banking leaders and corporate development professionals
• Understand and cross-sell CriticalPoint’s multiple lines of business
• Work alongside the deal team to push deals forward and disseminate relevant internal strategy to the market
• Manage the pipeline for platform acquisitions and portfolio company add-on’s

• Client management background and service orientation are a must
• Positive, thick-skinned, and resilient attitude
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to forge deep personal relationships very quickly
• Desire to exceed expectations
  
  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and comfortable with database management (i.e.
  
  - CRM) preferred
• Working knowledge of the business world, M&A deal origination, valuations and financial metrics
• Prior finance experience with the opportunity to substantially expand and deepen your understanding of a variety of businesses, business models, and industries
• Demonstrated history of professionalism, accountability, resourcefulness, and integrity
• Preference for local Los Angeles applicants
