BDS has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Operations Lead to join the Satellite Mission Systems (SMS) Business Development team in El Segundo, CA
.
- Managing day-to-day operations of the SMS business development organization.
- Work with executive leadership to execute priorities, manage the executive agenda, and prepare strategic communications and reports.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and cross‑functional alignment.
- Monitor budgets, financial performance, and execution reports to support decision‑making.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver regular updates to leadership.
- Coordinate VIP visits in coordination with Boeing Government Operations and site leadership.
- Identify operational improvements, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize processes for scalability.
- Act as liaison across departments, ensuring strategy is translated into clear, actionable plans.
- Liaise with greater Boeing for reporting as required to include financial performance.
- 5+ years of experience leading cross‑functional teams.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Experience preparing and presenting executive‑level briefings.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Active Top Secret/SCI preferred.
- Experience in a finance‑related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA).
Location:
El Segundo, CA – 100% onsite. Candidate must be willing to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance:
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel:
Occasional travel may be required.
Shift: 1st Shift.

401(k) match:
Dollar‑for‑dollar match up to 10% of eligible pay with 100% vesting.
Student Loan Match:
Eligible U.S. employees can apply qualified student loan payments towards the company match deduction.
Pay ranges:
Level 4 – $126,650 to $171,350;
Level 5 – $156,400 to $211,600.
