Description THE PURPOSE

Planning at True Religion is where financial discipline meets product instinct. As a Wholesale Planner, you are responsible for supporting all aspects of the North America Wholesale business. The Planner will interface regularly with the North America Wholesale Sales team, as well as cross-functional teams across planning and production to manage the daily business needs, address challenges and identify new opportunities.

In this position, you will maintain the Open to Buy and be responsible for planning and forecasting all sales, inventory, and receipts of a given channel to coincide with the financial objectives of the company. The position will support the North America wholesale team on all seasonal and chase buys by providing historical information and trend analysis, setting receipt targets, and ensuring financial objectives by account and product category are met.

You will assist in managing inventory levels by channel and by account which are tailored to their individual needs and expected financial outcomes. As a Planner, you drive the forecast and support the strategy behind it. You move fast, think a season ahead, and keep every stakeholder informed and aligned.

THE ROLE (what You Are Accountable For)
  • Partner with the North America wholesale sales team to develop annual plans by channel that meet or exceed financial targets, including sales, gross margin, and inventory turn.
  • Responsible for building bottom-up plans by division and classification that incorporate pricing strategies for key item programs and for key accounts.
  • Maintain the retail OTB by monitoring performance of sales and inventory plans weekly/monthly. Must be adept at recognizing opportunities & risks within a plan.
  • Provide monthly forecast recaps and participate in monthly OTB calls.
  • Monitor core assortment performance and stock levels on a consistent basis, frequently down to the SKU level, to ensure healthy stock position is maintained. Proactively mitigate future stock concerns.
  • Support the North America wholesale team with all seasonal and chase buys. This includes providing receipt targets (units and cost), providing sizing/size scales, and confirming buys were issued according to plan.
  • Monitor incoming receipt flow and partner as necessary with Production to ensure delivery dates are met.
  • Coordinate inventory sharing on a weekly basis across all global planning channels to optimize flow of inventory and to ensure all wholesale sales orders are filled according to bookings.
  • Assist in running weekly and month-end reports. Must effectively analyze and communicate key shipping and financial information to Sales team and management.
  • Comfortably draw on Excel skills to assist in building ad hoc planning reports.
  • Manage multiple assignments as needed.

You bring a strong combination of merchandise planning expertise and analytical rigor, with a proven track record in Open-to-Buy management, inventory turn, and gross margin optimization. You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, take ownership of your forecasts and financial outcomes, and approach challenges with both data-driven precision and a sharp commercial instinct. You thrive in ambiguity, communicate proactively with business partners, and bring a genuine passion for product and trend.

Required Minimum Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of planning experience at a Specialty Retailer, Department Store, or comparable retail organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising or related field Cross-channel planning experience, including ownership of OTB and assortment planning across brick-and-mortar and/or digital channels
  • Proven Open-to-Buy, inventory turn, and gross margin experience with demonstrated financial accountability
  • Knowledge of production flow, operations, and retail calendar management
