Leasing Specialist

Job Overview

The Leasing Specialist is responsible for leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations within the community.

The role requires professionalism, positive engagement, and community building.

• Visit and greet all prospects, qualify them, and record interactions on guest cards.
• Inspect models and “market‑ready” units and communicate service needs to the Community Manager.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and close sales, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing requirements.
• Process applications, update availability reports, and finalize leasing paperwork in the Yardi Voyager system.
• Assist with securing new resident signatures, orienting new residents, and monitoring renewals.
• Complete administrative tasks such as maintaining files and commission records.
• Respond to resident requests, facilitate maintenance service requests, and communicate with relevant teams.
• Support community events and maintain curb appeal.
• Enforce community policies and compliance with Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, and other regulations.

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience.
• Experience in low‑income housing and tax‑credit programs is highly desired.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, email).
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

• Essential staff classification; must adhere to safety and business protocols.
• Frequent sitting and walking; may require walking on uneven ground.
• Repetitive use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone.
• Reading, writing, and verbal communication required.
• Occasional squatting, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.

$21 – $23 USD per hour.
