Beauty Product Development Coordinator

We are partnering with a leading, fast-growing clean skincare and beauty brand known for creating innovative, high-performing products with a strong focus on clean ingredients, thoughtful formulation, and elevated packaging.

As the brand continues to grow its product portfolio, they are looking for a Product Development Coordinator to join their team and support the development and launch of new products across skincare and beauty.

The Product Development Coordinator will support the end-to-end product development process
, with a particular focus on packaging development and coordination
. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career product development professional who is passionate about beauty and wants hands-on exposure to bringing products from initial concept through launch.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects, timelines, samples, and stakeholders. You will work cross-functionally with Product Development, Packaging, Creative, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and external vendors to ensure projects stay on track and meet brand standards.

• Support the end-to-end development of new skincare and beauty products from concept through commercialization.
• Coordinate product development timelines, milestones, deliverables, and launch dates.
• Maintain detailed product and packaging development trackers and communicate project status to key stakeholders.
• Support the development of primary and secondary packaging, including components, materials, finishes, colors, dimensions, and artwork.
• Manage packaging samples, including requesting, receiving, organizing, documenting, and routing samples for review and approval.
• Coordinate with packaging vendors and suppliers on samples, revisions, specifications, quotes, and production details.
• Assist with reviewing packaging artwork, dielines, proofs, and technical specifications for accuracy.
• Track packaging revisions and ensure teams are working from the most current versions of artwork and specifications.
• Assist with packaging copy and labeling reviews, including ensuring required information and claims are accurately reflected.
• Coordinate feedback between internal teams and external vendors and ensure follow-ups are completed in a timely manner.
• Help manage product and packaging development calendars and proactively flag potential delays or issues.
• Prepare materials for product development meetings, sample reviews, and cross-functional presentations.
• Maintain organized product development files, specifications, samples, approvals, and other project documentation.
• Partner with Creative and Marketing to ensure packaging aligns with brand identity and creative direction.
• Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to support production readiness and commercialization.
• Assist with product launches and ensure all development deliverables are completed according to established timelines.
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives within the Product Development and Packaging teams.

A strong understanding of beauty packaging development is important to this role. The ideal candidate will have experience working with some or all of the following:

• Primary and secondary packaging
• Bottles, jars, tubes, pumps, droppers, caps, cartons, and other beauty components
• Packaging materials and finishes
• Color matching and approvals
• Dielines and artwork
• Packaging specifications
• Component samples and mockups
• Packaging proofs
• Vendor communication and revisions
• Packaging testing and production samples
• Labeling and regulatory requirements

• 1+ year of professional experience in beauty product development, packaging development, consumer products, or a related field.
• Previous experience working specifically with beauty or skincare packaging is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
