The Aerospace Corporation is hiring an Enterprise Systems Engineer for the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) in the Enterprise Effects Division (EED). This is an onsite opportunity inEl Segundo, CA.

The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace's strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The divisionleveragesa broad array of engineering disciplines against a dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities.

As part of the Enterprise Design Subdivision (EDS), the Portfolio Analysis Department (PAD) drives responsive and comprehensive trades in customer portfolios. Working closely with corporate program offices PAD delivers portfolio decision insights that expand options for senior leaders and accelerates delivery of end effects. PAD integrates expertise, systemanalysisand design capabilities from across the corporation.

This position will berequiredto work full-time on-site at Aerospace'sEl Segundo,CA location.

What You'llBe Doing

• Provide enterprise engineering and analytical support todefense, intelligence community, and civil government customersinportfolio management,digital engineering,andenterprisesystems engineering

• Engage directly with Aerospace program office personnel as well as government customers

• Support the deployment or implementation of existing tools, models,and frameworks

• Identify new capabilities and enhancements that will better support the customer programs and architectures

• Initiate studies designed to solvecomplexproblems and provide newandinnovativetechnical solutions

• Take initiative to inform management of perceived technical problems and recommend courses of action

• Utilize Aerospace resources, teams, andexpertiseon the effective use of MBSE methodologies, modeling languages, and tools

• Initiate and lead studies designed to solve technical problemstoprovide recommendations to the customer

• Leverage Aerospace's technicalbackplaneto provide tailored,technical support and innovative solutions for customer-specific use cases

• Provide ongoing technical consultation and advice to management, customers, and contractors

• Provide mentoring and oversight toearly career staff,as necessary

• Occasional travel may be required

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the
Engineering Specialist
- Enterprise Systems Engineering

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, orotherrelated technical discipline

• 8 yearsofincreasingly responsibleexperienceinsystems engineering or other space-related engineering disciplines

• Experience in systems engineering, enterprise systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, and/or digital engineering

• Proficient with MBSE modeling languages such as System Modeling Language(SysML) and toolssuch as Cameo Systems Modeler andSparXEnterprise Architecture

• Experience with architecture frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)

• Take initiative,have flexibility,andbe ableto work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent interpersonal skillsandwell adept at oral and written communication

• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
