Staff Engineer – Layout Design

As a Staff Engineer in the Research & Development team, you will shape the future of technology, drive groundbreaking projects, and bring new ideas to life.

• Collaborate with globally located project managers and design engineers to understand project requirements, align on design rules, and finalize chip floor plans.
• Work with package engineers to determine pad locations and pad sizes.
• Estimate the schedule for layout delivery and identify areas of complexity that require early investigation.
• Perform the physical design of advanced Silicon and GaN power devices (including mono reticles, pizza masks and PCM).
• Perform design rule checks, electrical rule checks, layout versus schematic checks and resolve errors.
• Conduct design review sessions with project teams prior to tape‑out.
• Fulfill tape‑out procedures and release data to the mask vendor.
• Train others in standard layout procedures for power devices.

• Strong power device layout skills with a good understanding of layout design principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in industry‑standard design software (Cadence Virtuoso, DRC, LVS).
• Experience with pcell programming.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Preferred to have experience with circuit design.
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) required.
• Able to work independently on challenging problems and meet tape‑out deadlines.
