We are seeking an SATCOM Test & Evaluation Engineer. The candidate will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications. The candidate will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The candidate will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF.
The candidate will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolving and identifying risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes.
This position is on-site at El Segundo, CA.
Responsibilities- Develop T&E strategies, Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) content, verification plans, test objectives, test procedures, and evaluation criteria
- Collect, analyze, and report T&E data
- Support implementation of a common Test and Evaluation database for the program
- Support development of DoD compliant deficiency reporting and resolution system
- Participate in T&E reviews, audits, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), Materiel Improvement Process Review Boards (MIPRBs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
- Support and observe test execution at DoD and contractor facilities
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field
- 3‑5 years of experience supporting or executing multi‑faceted test activities
- Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field
- 3‑5 years of Test & Evaluation experience with DoD/USAF processes
- Experience with SATCOM system testing
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience
- INCOSE CSEP/ESEP certification
- Experience working with military or DoD civilian partners
- Top Secret security clearance
Required:
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Top Secret clearance is optional.
