Engineer II, Systems Engineering - Onsite El Segundo, CA

Raytheon Space Test Solutions team located in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Test Equipment Engineer. The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. Responsibilities include developing test equipment for space payloads, designing test system architecture, implementing test capabilities on hardware, integrating electrical, optical, and mechanical systems, creating test plans, conducting validations, and sustaining equipment.

• Define requirements for test equipment of space payloads
• Design test system architecture to ensure robust operations
• Implement test capability on hardware
• Integrate electrical, optical, and mechanical systems in addition to engineering units and space payloads
• Create test plans for test suite validation
• Conduct test equipment validation
• Support test equipment through payload testing completion

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience with LabVIEW and Test Stand
• Experience with product design lifecycle
• Experience with Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Experience with LabVIEW and Test Stand software as a developer
• Experience validating test equipment
• Experience creating test plans for test suite validation
• Existing active Top Secret clearance
• Experience working in a classified environment including Special Access Programs

Salary range: 75,800 – 144,200 USD. Eligible for relocation. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and other programs. Performance incentive programs are not guaranteed.
