Security Clearance:
DoD Secret; active, transferable U.S. government‑issued clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
- Perform design verification and validation of traditional Mechanical 2D Drawings and Model‑Based Design TDPs (Technical Data Packages).
- Ensure mechanical design documentation and models include complex and simple machined parts, castings, and fabricated items.
- Conduct comprehensive verification/validation reviews for design producibility, data integrity, quality, and consistency.
- Confirm compliance with ASME Y14.41 and MIL‑STD‑31000 standards.
- Validate synchronization between design representation (drawings) and database models.
- Electrical Design Checkers:
Provide systematic verification and validation of electrical 2D TDPs, including circuit card assemblies, printed wiring boards, schematic drawings, and electronic Bills of Material (eBOMs). - Utilize supporting applications such as EXPEDITION‑DxDESIGNER, BLUEPRINT, VALOR, and Excel for electrical checks.
- Support reviews of software documents per program requirements.
- Candidate may receive training to support verification/validation of the opposing design TDP category.
- Collaborate with engineering disciplines and leadership to negotiate solutions that meet program needs and align with design/drafting requirements.
- Typical requirements:
Bachelor’s of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree. - 5 years of experience designing, drafting, and/or verifying/validating detailed TDPs.
- Experience with CAD design/drafting tools.
- Security clearance and U.S. citizenship as stated above.
- For Mechanical Design Checker: experience with PTC Creo Suite, Creo / ProE, Solid Works, AutoCAD, Raster, Canvas, GTXImage, and/or Myriad.
- For Electrical Design Checker: experience with electrical CAD/analysis packages such as Mentor Boardstation, EXPEDITION‑DxDESIGNER, and related tools.
- Preferred:
Industry Model‑Based Engineering (MBE) experience (3D PDF), ASME, Military & Industry standards, and CM/DM comprehension; aptitude for advanced TDP record set management techniques in PDM. - Strong problem‑solving, process development/improvement, and adaptability to evolving technologies, processes, and best practices.
- Multi‑disciplined support potential for both mechanical and electrical domains.
Salary range: 95,500 USD – 181,700 USD (good‑faith estimate; subject to factors such as role, function, responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, and key skills).
